Do these five things before you sprint blindly into the trees.

    Calibrate the microphone first

    Open audio settings before you hit Play Tape. A headset and a conservative mic gain stop a cough from cracking the camera. Rehearse volume in the browser tool if you want a dry run without wasting a night.

    Learn the four Sister rules

    Big Sister needs eye contact. Blind Sister wants distance or a building. Armless Sister demands a full freeze. Shy Sister punishes a glance. One failed request resets posters and landmarks.

    Orient on landmarks, not trees

    Treat the spawn house, chapel, cemetery, gas station, carnival, and farm as a compass rose. Trees all look the same at 2 AM; painted signs and power sparks do not.

    Pick a win condition

    Five missing-person posters, 5:00 AM, the bunker telephone, or the 1.0 tape trail. Do not chase every objective on night one. Clear a route, then add the silver key run.

    Save co-op for a second pass

    Version 1.0 still treats solo as the main story. Learn flashlight, mic, and Sisters alone, then join a five-player lobby with VOIP rules that will not scream over each other.
